Membership Benefits

All Parent Association members receive the following special benefits:

• The Ohio State Recreational Facilities - As a member of the Ohio State Parent Association, you have the opportunity to become a part of these cutting-edge facilities. Parent Association members receive two (2) free guest passes (included in this Packet of Information) and are eligible to purchase a full membership to the facilities for the faculty/staff rate. Memberships may be purchased quarterly or annually. For those who visit campus less frequently, you can purchase a daily pass for just $10 and have access to all five facilities just by showing your current Parent Association membership card. • The Blackwell - As a member of the Parent’s Association, The Blackwell would like to extend a discounted room rate of $127 weekdays and $109 weekends, all exclusive of taxes and valet parking. This rate is subject to availability and is not valid during special events, (football , graduation, etc...), please call our reservations department toll-free at 866-247-4003 for more information, be sure to ask for the “Parent’s Association Rate”.
• The University Plaza Hotel and Conference Center - Parent Association members receive a preferred rate of $97 per night, which reflects a discount up to $21 off the normal room rate. The hotel also offers FREE transportation to and from OSU and the Columbus International Airport. To make reservations please call University Plaza Hotel toll free at 1-877-677-5292, and be sure to ask for the “Parent Association Rate.” Please note that this discount may not be available during peak occupancy times, which include OSU Buckeye’s home football weekends and graduations.
• Parent Association Members are able to purchase Student Affairs Bowl Game Packages each year! (In the event of a National Championship Bowl, there will be limited availability). • Bistro 2110 - Located at the Blackwell at Fisher College, 2110 Tuttle Park Place, we welcome you with a 10% discount off the entire check when your valid Parent Association membership card is shown. (discount does not include alcohol beverages and is not valid on special event dates, ask about availability) Please come spend you next dining experience with family reservations recommended, but not required. Call 247-2110 for reservations.
• Oxley’s Restaurant - located in The Fawcett Conference Center a unique part of the university. In a contemporary atmosphere Oxley’s is recognized as providing wonderful and creative dining. Oxley's features a daily Lunch Buffet (Monday - Friday). Members of The Parent Association received a 15% discount.
• Ohio State Housing Food Services - Enjoy a relaxing meal with your student in any of the university’s dining commons: Baker, Kennedy, Morrill, or North - at a discount of 35% for at total of two visits per membership! To receive the discount, present one of the corresponding coupons included in this membership packet to the cashier when you pay for your meal.
• Ohio State Theater Department Productions - Ohio State’s Theater is recognized for its quality productions. As a Parent Association member you are entitled to the special discount mentioned below*. To obtain the 2005-2006 production schedule, or to order tickets please call the Theater Box Office at (614) 292-2295. When you reserve tickets, tell the staff member that you are a member of the Parent Association and be prepared to give your membership I.D. number (found on your membership card). You must use a credit card when ordering tickets over the phone. If you purchase tickets in person, show your membership card to the cashier when making your purchase. *Ticket Prices for Parent Association Members Parent Association members receive a special buy one adult ticket, get one free adult ticket discount.
• The Makio - is the university yearbook that has been a tradition at Ohio State since 1880. It’s name is Japanese for “Magic Mirror.” Parent Association members recieve a special discount of $5.00 off the total purchase price. If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook for your son or daughter, please contact the Student Activities Office at (614) 292-8763.
• Student Book Exchange (SBX) - When you’re purchasing textbooks, be sure to take advantage of the 10% discount SBX offers all Parent Association members on OSU spirit items, clothing, school supplies, and other merchandise. Simply present your Parent Association membership card to the cashier when making your purchases. This discount excludes all textbooks. Call SBX at (614) 291-9528 for additional information.
• College Town - offers a 15% discount on regular- and sale-priced OSU apparel and gifts to Parent Association members. Customers can also shop online at www.collegetown-ohiostate.com. Please call (614) 294-0688 for any questions or additional information.
• The University Flower Shop - is a full-service florist providing exquisite floral products and exceptional service throughout the greater Columbus area. • Conrads Ohio State College Gifts - Located at 316 West Lane Ave, next to The Holiday Inn, and across from St. John’s Arena. Parent association members will receive a 15% discount on all regularly priced items. Not valid on Home Football game weekends, see coupon restrictions in store. We are open daily Mon-Fri 9:30am to 8:00pm, Sat 10:00am to 6:00pm, and Sun 11:00am to 5:00pm, extended hours during home basketball and football games.
• College Traditions - located between the Varsity Club and Wendell’s at 286 W. Lane Avenue. Parent Association members will receive a 15% discount on all regularly priced items. Not valid on Home Football game weekends. We are open 7 days a week for your convenience and offer free parking. Your satisfaction is always guaranteed!
• Rooster’s Restaurant - is conveniently located at 3370 Olentangy River Road, just under a mile north of the OSU campus. Rooster’s is a fun, casual joint featuring wings, salads, sandwiches, and fun. All Parent Association members will receive a 10% discount on their bill upon presentation of their membership card.
