The Ohio State campus is a student’s home away from home, and each year we invite family members to make it theirs as part of Parent & Family Weekend. Share the Ohio State experience as you spend time connecting with your student, interacting with faculty and staff, and experiencing what makes being a Buckeye so special.
Parent & Family Weekend offers many specially-planned events and activities including receptions, campus tours, faculty presentations, a tailgate party and a special event where families will hear from Ohio State President, E. Gordon Gee.
The weekend hosts the annual Ohio State Parent Lecture Series that has featured such parents as Brian Billick, the former head coach of the NFL's Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens, Keith Wandell, President and CEO of Harley Davidson, Inc., and Alan Zweibel, multiple Emmy, Writers Guild of America, and TV Critics award winner and original Saturday Night Live writer. We also feature special receptions and meals such as the Generations of Buckeyes Legacy Reception to honor current students and their parents and/or grandparents who are Ohio State alumni, the First Generation Student Reception , and Distant Buckeyes, our out of state reception.
