Friday, October 22

 

12:00pm - 7:00pm | Registration and Check-In | Great Hall Meeting Rooms, 1st floor Ohio Union 

When you arrive, stop by the Ohio Union to pick up your Parent and Family Weekend wristbands NOTE: Registration and check in only takes a few minutes. You only need to check in one time for the weekend.
 

11:00am - 5:00pm | Off-Campus Living Expo | Performance Hall, 1st floor Ohio Union

Will your student be a junior or senior next year? The Off-Campus Living Expo will serve as a fun and interactive resource for students to learn about off-campus resources, as well as community engagement and safety.
 

12:00pm - 12:00am | Get Fit with Rec Sports | Recreational and Physical Activity Center (RPAC) 

Come check out some of the top recreational facilities in the country! Parents and guests gain free admission with their Parent & Family Weekend wristbands to all Ohio State recreation facilities throughout the weekend. Be on the lookout for special programs and classes coordinated by our Recreational Sports staff throughout the weekend just for families! 2:00pm - 6:00pm | Mount Leadership Society Scholars Empty Bowl Sale | 1st floor, Ohio Union 

Each $10 purchase of a handmade glazed ceramic bowl enables the Mid-Ohio Foodbank to provide $100 worth of groceries for families in need.
 

3:00pm – 7:00pm | Ohio Stadium Tours | Ohio Stadium (Enter at the North Rotunda only) 

Take some time to experience the Scarlet and Gray and go behind the scenes at Ohio Stadium. You will be able to walk the sidelines where Woody, Tressel, Urban and Ryan Day have roamed. In addition, view the field from the suites, see one of the world’s largest collegiate press boxes, tour the Yassenoff Recruit Center and see the Steinbrenner Band Center. Presented by the Department of Athletics. Please note that some spaces may not be available day of the tour due to other events at the stadium that weekend. NOTE: Stadium tours are self-guided and take about 1 hour. The gates close at 7PM, so we recommend that you arrive no later than 6PM. You do not need to pre-register for this event. 
 

5:00pm – 7:30pm | Faculty Club Tailgate Event | The Faculty Club at The Ohio State University, 181 South Oval Dr 

The Club invites you to celebrate the kickoff of Parent and Family Weekend with an "All-American Tailgate" party. Don't forget to wear scarlet and gray! Menu to feature BBQ chicken and ribs along with a variety of tasty sides and dessert (vegetarian option available).

Cost is $39 per person. Guests under the age of 3 are free.

Note: Space is limited and reservation is required. This event will no longer appear on the website once it reaches capacity. 
 

7:00pm | Men's Soccer vs. Penn State | Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium 

See the Ohio State men’s soccer team play Penn State at Jesse Owens Stadium. This event is FREE. 
 

TBA | OUAB Presents Open Mic Night | Woody’s Tavern in the Ohio Union 

Details to be determined. This event may not be appropriate for younger audiences.

The Orton Geological Museum is located in Orton Hall on the South Oval. Part of the School of Earth Sciences, the Museum plays a key role in research, teaching, and outreach. Explore rocks, minerals, and fossils from Ohio, from around the world, and from outer space!

The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum houses the world’s largest collection of materials related to cartoons and comics, including original art, books, magazines, journals, comic books, archival materials, and newspaper comic strip pages and clippings.
