Sibs, Kids and Family Day 2023 Schedule

Below you will find a list of confirmed events for Sibs, Kids and Family Day, held on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Some of the boxes will allow you to click them for more information about that particular event. Please note that this page is under construction and additional events will be added to the schedule as they are confirmed, so be sure to check back frequently in the coming days and weeks!

If you plan to participate in the Cardio Dance or Climbing and Adventure Race activities, you will need to complete a waiver for each guest that plans to participate. You can print the waiver online to bring to check-in with you or complete it in person during the check-in process.

Sibs, Kids and Family Day 2023

Ohio Union

When you arrive on campus, stop by the Ohio Union to pick up your Sibs, Kids and Family Day wristbands. Registration and check-in only takes a few minutes to complete.

RPAC

Siblings, parents and families gain free admission with their Sibs, Kids and Family Day wristbands to the RPAC on Saturday.

High School Bands

We are excited to welcome thirteen high school big bands this year. The performances, concluding with the Ohio State Jazz Ensemble, are free and open to the public.

Buckeye Booty Event

Community Ambassadors will be getting crafty and sharing our pirate treasure, or booty, as us pirates call it. We will be creating some pirate themed art projects from our treasure chest, enjoy some refreshing root beer floats, and parlay!

Tied Fleece Blanket

Sibs, kids and families can help make tie blankets for My Very Own Blanket, which provides blankets to youth in foster care, as well as for the Columbus Humane Society. Blankets take between 30 minutes and an hour to make.

University Libraries

See the Thompson Gallery's newest exhibit, Deathless Fragments, in person!

Ohio Stadium

Enjoy a self-guided tour of the historic Ohio Stadium. The tour includes access to the field and takes approximately one hour to complete.

Women's Basketball

Watch the men's and women's basketball tournaments at Woody's Tavern inside the Ohio Union.

Chemistry Demo

Join Ohio State’s Chemistry Demonstration Lab for an action-packed event and see how science can be fun and exciting. People of all ages are welcome to join us for an hour-long show full of fire, liquid nitrogen, and an explosion or two.

Buck-I-Frenzy 2019

Learn about the Buckeye experience from current OSU students and play games for prizes! How good are your throwing skills?

Climbing

Come compete in a rock climbing “summit challenge” for Sibs, Kids and Family Day! This beginner-friendly competition is open to everyone, no experience required.

Orton Geological Museum

The Orton Geological Museum is located in Orton Hall on the South Oval. Part of the School of Earth Sciences, the Museum plays a key role in research, teaching and outreach.

Planetarium

Enjoy a half hour in the Arne Slettebak Planetarium. Shows are first-come, first-served, so be sure to arrive prior to the scheduled start time.

Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum sign

The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum houses the world’s largest collection of materials related to cartoons and comics, including original art, books, magazines and more.

Buckeye Necklaces 2022

Ohio Staters, Inc. will be making Buckeye necklaces in Orton Hall. Coloring pages, Buckeye history and bell tower tours will be available too!

Group Fitness Class

Come dance with us during Sibs, Kids and Family Day! This class is a high-energy, dance-inspired workout fusing traditional Latin rhythms with hip hop. Class features simple, yet incredibly fun routines!

Born with the gifts of flexibility, curiosity and goofiness, Jonathan Burns combines unique talents to astonish audiences around the globe. Doors open at 4 p.m.

Ice Skating Event Image

Enjoy an evening on the ice with your family! Ice skating is free with your Sibs, Kids and Family Day registration.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Poster

See Puss in Boots: The Last Wish in the US Bank Conference Theater. This event has limited capacity seating (293). Doors open at 7 p.m.

Ohio State Jazz Festival

The Ohio State Jazz Ensemble and headliner artist Carmen Bradford perform as part of the 46th Annual Ohio State Jazz Festival. Free and open to the public.
