 Emotional Wellness

The Office of Student Life focuses on teaching students how to appropriately express feelings, as well as have positive self-esteem and a strong sense of personal responsibility.

Career Wellness

 Career Wellness

As students navigate their academic career, it is important that they keep in mind their professional career goals. Career wellness is just as important as emotional or physical wellness! Student encourages students to explore occupational options in support groups, workshops, academic classes, leadership series, and skills building. These programs teach students professional satisfaction, enrichment, and a work/life balance consistent with personal values.

Students are also encouraged to learn spiritual wellness, which consists of exploring the depth of human purpose, meaning, and connection through dialogue and self-reflection. Student Life fosters a welcoming environment, presentations, and events that encourage students to explore their idea of personal fulfillment. Students have the opportunity to take part in educational and engagement opportunities that feature meditations, awareness, and coexistence.

 Social Wellness

The socially well student has a strong network of friends and family they can turn to for support, validation, and sharing of life experiences. Healthy relationships are based on interdependence (rather than codependence), mutual trust and respect, equity of power and cultural competence. Student Life encourages social interaction and intercultural awareness by providing monthly seminars, classes, a broad array of events, open meeting spaces, support groups, community service, leadership opportunities, and support for more than 1,000 student organizations.
