The Buckeye roots in many families run very deep. For you, your student has not only chosen one of the best universities in the country, but also the university you once called home. For you and your student, Ohio State has long been a way of life. From Saturday football games, to learning Carmen Ohio and fight songs, to telling stories about your college experience, Scarlet and Gray has long been a part of your family. Your student will get to attend class in some of the buildings you once roamed and even participate in many of the activities and organizations that helped to shape who you are. Being a Legacy is a special honor for many of our students. We are very excited that your student has chosen to be a Buckeye Legacy.

Whether you have stayed actively involved in Ohio State since your graduation or if this is your first opportunity to reconnect to campus, once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye. Throughout your student's time at Ohio State, we offer many opportunities to connect with your student and Ohio State through our Legacy programming. Each year, during Parent and Family Weekend, we host a Legacy reception for those students and families whose grandparents, parents, brothers or sisters also attended Ohio State. We also offer programming during Commencement Week to recognize those students and families whose lives have long intertwined with The Ohio State University. History and tradition are an important part of our great university and we do all that we can to celebrate those families who have helped to shape our university over many generations.
