Megan Thee Stallion’s song Anxiety has resonated with so many who have had their mental health dismissed, invalidated, and struggle to find the support that they need. Whether you have already started your mental wellness journey or are just starting to get curious, this workshop is for you! We will be centering the black experience to discuss the cultural, societal, and historical barriers to mental health care, the differences between self-soothing, self-care and community care, and how to create sustainable mental health habits in your life. The program structure will include a presentation, small group discussion, and interpersonal interaction.
Dinner will be provided, Registration is required!
This program is part of United Black World Month and will be led by Madison Eagle, Center for Belonging and Social Change, and Dr. Darreon Greer, PhD, Embedded Clinical Therapist with Counseling and Consultation Services.
